Chocolate Mint Fat Bombs

This is not just another fat bomb! This is a minty one:)

I had a lot of sugary treats in my youth, and my favourites often included peppermint. Chocolate peppermint patties and mint chocolate chip ice cream to name a few.

Now that I have left sugar behind, those treats are a thing of the past. However, sometimes it’s nice to have something sweet as an option. Fat bombs to the rescue!

The benefit of these minty fat bombs is that they are low glycemic due to the use of Lakanto sweetener (I buy this one: use promo code BFW for 10% off) over regular refined sugar. They are also keto approved!

They are also anti-inflammatory with monkfruit, cocoa and peppermint essential oil on the ingredient list.

They are easy to make and keep well in the refrigerator. These fat bombs are also kid-approved in our house!

Chocolate Mint Fat Bombs

  • 3/4 cup melted creamed coconut you can substitute coconut oil
  • 9-10 drops food-grade peppermint essential oil or 1.5 tsp peppermint extract
  • 3 tbsp Lakanto Monkfruit sweetener
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder


  1. Add the sweetener and peppermint to the melted coconut.

  2. Pour half the mixture into 10 sections of an ice cube tray. Place the tray in the freezer to harden.

  3. Add the cocoa powder to the remaining coconut mixture and blend until mixed. Add to the top of each section in the ice cube tray.

  4. Place the tray in the fridge and leave until completely hard and ready to enjoy. Keeps well in the fridge.
